Vintage Coach Black Leather Binocular Shoulder Bag #9853 Made in USA. This bag was introduced by Coach in the fall of 1990. This particular bag was made between then & 1994 when Coach began including the style number & date code on the Coach creed.
The bag features a double flap top opening with a full length inside zipper pocket. It has a non-detachable 44” adjustable shoulder strap. . Dimensions are 9 ½" x 8 ¼” x 4”. Closure is provided by a spring lock. The hardware is brass & the bag has its Coach hang tag.
The condition is very good vintage with no scratches, rips, tears or bad smells. I replaced the original brass spring lock with a smooth head antique brass made in Germany Loxx spring lock. The original spring lock no longer functioned & original USA made spring locks are no longer available. ( I did not care for the made in China replacement spring locks & the Loxx spring lock was a exact replacement with no modifications needed to fit the bag).
